Having Trouble Finding Great People to Hire?

(By Dan Simmons)

Yes, this is partially an advertisement for Dan's headhunting business, but it's also factual.  The job market is getting tighter by the month, and candidates are getting picky and more expensive by the day.  If you're experiencing this, know that you're not alone.

Part of this trend is a cultural change, since the younger generations aren't as focused on their careers as some of the previous generations.  Another factor is the aging workforce.  Look around your office . . . do you see a good bit of gray hair?  That gray hair is going to make current conditions worse in the near future, as these folks retire and there are fewer people entering the workforce to take their place.

If you're having trouble finding the talent you need, I have two suggestions.  First, review some of the archived issues of The ASM.  I've written a bunch of tips that will help.  Or you can contact me directly at (888) 276-6789 and have a headhunter go get the talent your team needs to succeed.
